Mary MacLeod, interim manager of advancement research, received the Professional of the Year Award from the international organization APRA, the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement, on July 28.

The award recognizes a professional who has made a significant impact on his or her organization’s fundraising success by going above and beyond the scope of their core duties and playing a leadership role in their organization.

The award was presented during the APRA’s annual international conference; this year’s event was held in Austin, Texas.

MacLeod joined the Department of Alumni Affairs and Development last summer and was nominated for the APRA award by her U of G colleagues.
