U of G graduate Jeff Latosik is a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Award, given to the best first book of poetry published by a Canadian. The League of Canadian Poets announced the short list April 4. He is nominated for his for his inaugural book of poetry, Tiny. The winner will be named June 11.

Latosik was one of the first graduates of the University of Guelph-Humber’s creative writing MFA program, receiving his degree in 2008. In 2009 he was a finalist for the Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers.
