Now in its 13th year, the FarmSmart Agricultural Conference expects to draw close to 800 farmers to campus Jan. 22. FarmSmart is organized by the Golden Horseshoe and Heartland Regional Soil and Crop Improvement Associations in partnership with the Ontario Agricultural College, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and various agri-business partners.

The program includes more than fifty concurrent sessions in topics varying from crop and livestock production to soil and environmental management, business, marketing and general interest topics. Ontario’s annual Beef Symposium will be part of the FarmSmart conference program this year.

Chris St. Clair of The Weather Network will deliver the keynote address at 1 p.m. in Rozanski Hall on why Canada has the world’s most unique weather and how the weather has shaped us into the people we are today.
