Two U of G professors have been recognized with Canadian Society of Animal Science awards.  Kees de Lange, an animal and poultry science professor and research program director for the productions system (animal) research theme under the U of G/OMAFRA partnership, received the Excellence in Nutrition and Meat Sciences award.

The Young Scientist Award went to Prof. Trevor DeVries of U of G’s Kemptville Campus. DeVries has been the principal investigator and a collaborator on several OMAFRA partnership-funded research projects.

The Canadian Society of Animal Science was formed more than 70 years ago and works to facilitate the discovery and dissemination of knowledge in animal science, for the benefit of society.
