A team of four U of G marketing management students took top spot at the annual International Agribusiness and Food Management Association (IAMA) student case competition held in Boston earlier this month. Matt Ball, Amy Nodwell, Nicole Beechey and Steven Clark beat out 13 international teams, including some comprised solely of MBA and PhD students.

The foursome competed against INHolland University of Applied Sciences (Amsterdam, Holland), the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio) and the University of São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil) in the final round of competition. The team was coached by Melanie Lang, director of U of G’s Co-operators Centre for Business and Social Entrepreneurship.

IAMA is a worldwide leadership forum that brings together top executives, academics, policy-makers, students and stakeholders to network and stimulate strategic thinking across the global food, fibre, fuel, floral and forestry systems.
