The state of the environment, society and global sustainability is on the minds of a growing number of people from myriad sectors. These topics are top-of-mind for educators as well. Faculty from across Canada are set to join students and representatives from industry, government and the community on May 4 for “Integrating Sustainability Into Business Education: A Workshop for Canadian Business Faculty,” a free one-day event exploring methods of incorporating sustainability issues into curriculum design and delivery.

The event is organized by U of G business professor Elizabeth Kurucz and Barry Colbert, director of the CMA Centre for Business and Sustainability at Wilfrid Laurier University. Kurucz and Colbert will join Toby Heaps, editor of Corporate Knights magazine; Annika Tamlyn, senior policy analyst at the Council of Ontario Universities; Frances Edmonds, director of environmental programs at Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co.; and Asaf Zohar, chair of Trent University’s business administration program, as dialogue leaders.

The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Arboretum Centre. Registration closes April 28. For more information, go to http://www.wlu.ca/sbe/cmacro.
