Retired U of G employee Mike Jenkinson died April 19 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. April 24 at Trinity United Church in Guelph.

A 1963 graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College, Mr. Jenkinson also completed a master’s degree at OAC and worked for the college throughout his 34-year career. He served as an assistant to five OAC deans, retiring in 2000 to continue his interest in agricultural education as a volunteer consultant in several developing countries. He is survived by his wife, Joan, daughters, Kelly Gordon and Karla McInnis, and their families.
