Dr. Hwansuk Chris Choi

Negotiations between Air Canada and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) remain ongoing, raising the possibility of job action. Either party could issue a 72-hour strike or lockout notice as early as midnight on Sept. 15.

Dr. Hwansuk Chris Choi, a professor in the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, is available to discuss how the impending job action could affect air travellers.

Choi can discuss what passengers should consider if they have upcoming Air Canada flights, whether it is advisable to modify travel plans now, how to minimize the impact of travel disruptions and how the labour dispute might influence other Canadian airlines.
