Believe it or not, ongoing battles occur between many species at the Arboretum, which can sometimes damage surrounding ecosystems. Who would’ve thought the Arboretum would be such a war zone? Disease, parasites and parasitoids, theft and thrift — there’s a lot of action that goes down here at the Arboretum (and in your backyard)!
