The Office of Research is launching a new system aimed at simplifying and streamlining its information management and administrative processes.

It’s holding an event for members of the research community to learn more about the new system and meet the project team. A reception will follow a formal program.

The system, which has been implemented at similar institutions, will improve the University’s ability to respond to regulatory changes while providing a common database for analytics and evidence-based decision making.

The Office of Research is looking for a name for the new system, and is holding a contest with a $500 voucher for the University bookstore and Hospitality Services as a prize. Suggested names may be entered online. The contest runs until Oct. 9.
