The University of Guelph and the University of Guelph Faculty Association (UGFA), the union that represents Faculty Members, Librarians and Veterinarians, have both ratified the tentative agreement that was reached on October 20, 2024. 

The new agreement will be in place until June 30, 2027 and addresses key priorities for both sides, including workload and compensation. 

The two parties met approximately 20 times and discussions remained open, respectful and constructive with a strong commitment to reaching a new agreement through negotiations. The new agreement will be available online in the near future.
