Dr. Simon Somogyi, a professor in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, spoke to several news outlets upon the release of Canada’s Food Price Report.

Somogyi, the price report project co-lead, spoke to The Globe and Mail, the National Post, several CBC Radio stations, among others, to discuss what’s behind his teams’ predictions of higher food prices in 2022, as well as how his team came up with their forecasts.

Somogyi is the Arrell Chair in the Business of Food and a professor in the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management and researches many aspects of the agri-food marketing system and food consumer behaviour.
