Dr. Tamara Small, a professor in the Department of Political Science, spoke to The Canadian Press about which issues that arose during the pandemic will dominate next year’s Ontario election.
The article appeared in several online publications, including GlobalNews.ca and the Toronto Star.
“The question is always: were you worse off last year than you are this year?” she said. “Lots of people are going to be worse off. I think pocketbook issues will certainly be important for lots of people coming out of the pandemic.”
Small researches many aspects of politics, including the influence of image in Canadian politics, political parties’ use of the internet for campaigning and the regulatory framework for digital technologies in Canadian elections.
