University of Guelph entrance wallThe provincial government has announced emergency and stay-at-home orders that will take effect April 8 and are expected to last at four weeks.

This is in addition to the emergency brake measures that went into that went into effect April 3.

While these provincial measures will affect U of G operations in the short term, ultimately the impact will be positive as the shutdown will help improve public health and safety while vaccination rollouts increase. This will allow the University to continue planning for a vibrant on-campus experience in fall 2021 and a gradual return to campus for faculty and staff.

To keep the U of G community informed, updates will be posted on the University’s COVID-19 website. Please continue to monitor this web page regularly for updates and new information.
