The ongoing research at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute was recently featured in an article in ScoreGolf magazine.
The article noted the GTI is “internationally renowned” and “widely respected as a world-class hub for turfgrass and sports field research” and that golf superintendents across the country rely on the Institute for expertise when turf problems arise.
Researchers at Guelph Turfgrass Institute study such topics as grass species, seeding methods, pesticide use, sports field construction, and the biological control of diseases and weeds.
As the article noted, the Institute is transitioning to a new facility on U of G property that will consist of more than five acres of research plots, test greens and trial gardens.
