Refine. Distill. Showcase. Network. Grow.

Could you explain your research in plain language to a panel of non-technical judges? What if you only had three minutes to do it? Show the world how brilliant you can be in 180 seconds by registering for the 2019 University of Guelph 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition.

Competition dates, contact information and registration forms are available on the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies website.

The competition is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to showcase their research to a wider audience, improve their oral presentation skills and build excitement for research happening right here at U of G! There will also be prizes up for grabs at the campus final and a chance to represent the University of Guelph at the provincial competition.

Eligibility

To participate in the competition, students must be currently registered in a thesis-based (or MRP) master’s program or PhD program at the University of Guelph, with substantial progress on their research and analysis. Course-based master’s students are ineligible.

All students, staff, faculty and community members are invited to attend the U of G final competition April 3.
