The opioid crisis in Canada has many people struggling to learn as much as they can about the nature of addiction and the impact of drugs on the people who abuse them.

U of G psychology professor Francesco Leri investigates the links between drugs such as heroin, methadone and amphetamines on various aspects of learning and memory. He’s interested in how addiction to certain drugs affects memory formation and memory retrieval.

He is available for media interviews.
