Prof. Mike von Massow was interviewed for a Feb. 19 Globe and Mail story about minimum wage hikes in British Columbia.

A professor in U of G’s Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics, von Massow talked about his recent study looking at online reviews of restaurants before and after changing their tipping policy, and said that their average scores remained unchanged. He said that while there will be changes to some restaurants and their tipping policies, the industry will bounce back.

Von Massow studies structure and performance of food value chains, economics of food demand and pricing strategy.
