Julia Christensen Hughes, dean of the College of Business and Economics, recently discussed technology and the need for a culture of integrity on CBC’s The Current.
After the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball were recently caught using an Apple watch to steal signs from opposing teams, Christensen Hughes said technology can facilitate cheating not just in sports but also in academics. Schools need to adapt to technology while developing a culture of integrity for students, she said.
Christensen Hughes studies academic misconduct and changes within higher education.
