Prof. Jonathan Newman, director of the School of Environmental Sciences, received the Excellence in Science and Technology Award in April as part of the 2011 University at Albany Alumni Association Excellence Awards. An expert on the ecological impact of climate change, he was cited as an internationally acclaimed scientist and highly respected educator.
