Afrobarometer Research: Methodology and Field Survey Technicalities in Africa
Good quality data is essential for policy making and governance.
GIDS visiting fellow Winnie Mitullah will explain how surveys conducted in over 35 African countries by Afrobarometer – a pan-African, non-partisan organization that measures the attitudes and perspectives of ordinary citizens – are helping legitimize public opinion as a pillar of African democracy.
Her presentation will focus on the methodology and technicalities of gathering data across the continent.
