Join us on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m., for the launch of the Art Gallery of Guelph’s brand new winter season and three exhibitions spotlighting art practices that reconsider and reconceive notions of history and genealogy, place and landscape. Opening that evening are:
- ᑕᐅᑐᑉᐹ Tautuppaa | Long Looking, curated by Taqralik Partridge and featuring the work of late Inuit artist Tim Pitsiulak
- The Unsettlements: Moms, an installation by Houston-based artist and writer JD Pluecker
- An Experience of Nature, highlighting landscapes from the AGG’s permanent collection, curated by Sally Frater with assistance of from Amira Radwan and Brent Garbett.
Artists and curators will be in attendance.
All are welcome! Enjoy refreshments and introductions to the exhibitions. Free admission; cash bar.
