The future of cybersecurity in agriculture a three-part series. Networking. Discussions on cybersecurity in agriculture. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. , cutten fields, 190 College Ave E. Guelph. Research Innovations and Canada Frist Research Excellence Fund logos.

This succinct 3 hour event, starting at 2 p.m., will bring together thought leaders and innovators to delve into pressing challenges and opportunities facing the agricultural sector in the realm of cybersecurity.

  • Securing Our Fields: Understanding and Addressing Cybersecurity Risks in Agriculture (2:15 PM – 3:00 PM) by Dr. Ali Dehghantanha (School of Computer Sciences, University of Guelph)
    Networking Break (3 to 3:30 p.m.)
  • Special Announcements in Agricultural Cybersecurity (3:30 to 4 p.m.) by Dan Herman (Intellectual Property Ontario), Robert McMillan (Ontario Centre of Innovation), and Rohit Nehru (Canadian Standards Association)
  • Cybersecurity Capacity in Canadian Agriculture (4 to 4:45 p.m.) by Dr. Janos Botschner (Community Safety Knowledge Alliance), Dr. Ali Dehghantanha (University of Guelph), Katherine MacDonald (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada), and ADM Greg Wootton (Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs)
  • Closing Remarks (4:45 to 5 p.m.) by Jessica Bowes (Research Innovation Office, University of Guelph)
