Do you have course notes, a textbook or other educational materials that you want to publish online? Are you unsure of where to start or which tool to use? Come to this hands-on workshop to learn how to get the most out of Pressbooks, an easy and straightforward self-publishing software that can be used to create digital books, white papers, toolkits and other educational and online resources.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to navigate the intermediate-level functionality of Pressbooks (including importing existing openly licensed content, integrating interactive components and using LaTeX syntax). Emphasis will be placed on building content that is accessible.

Please note:
This is a hands-on, interactive session that presumes basic knowledge of Pressbooks functionality. Registration for this session is required.

Prior to attending this workshop, please come to the Playing With Pressbooks Publishing Software (Beginner) session on either Feb. 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. or Mar. 4 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. If neither of these dates works for you, please email versluis@uoguelph.ca to make alternate arrangements.

Please bring a laptop, tablet or another internet-enabled device to the session. Feel free to come with a project in mind.
