Sustainable production and marketing of bio-carbon from Ontario based biomass is essential for transition towards a sustainable circular economy. Canada’s trade balance is consistently negative with related industrial bulk imports of HS 380210 (activated carbon). The potential volumetric consumptions of bio -carbon in Ontario can be in the scale of in 1000’s of tons/ month. Using materials from renewable local resources will offer opportunity of valorization and enhance local economy.
