November 28 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join the Food System Resilience Table Guelph-Wellington for a walking tour of a couple Two Rivers neighbourhood spaces that are doing wonderful work in supporting food access in Guelph!
The topic is Food Foundations: Soil Health and Composting.
Together we will tour the Huron Street – Two Rivers Neighbourhood Group Community Garden and check out their brilliant composting system. After which, we will walk over to The SEED warehouse and get a tour of their facility which is host to a number of great community rooted projects and programs. Following our tours we will walk to the Double Rainbow Cafe where Chef Yasi’s team at FEWD (Food Equity With Dignity) will be set up and ready to provide some great eats and then to the Alice Block Condo kitchen condo space where there will be time to eat our dinner together while networking with each other!
A couple notes: this event will include a lot of walking, if you prefer to attend a certain part(s) of the evening, feel free to meet at whichever spot is best for you at the time specified on the Agenda and we will be just as happy to have you. If you would like a chair to sit down and eat your dinner, you may wish to bring one with you as seating options will be limited in the kitchen. Please reach out to us at thetablegw@gmail.com if you have any further questions or accommodation requirements!
