Interested in using Python but don’t know where to start? Join us for a hands-on, two-part workshop for folks with little experience programming.

Part 2 will go beyond the built-in. Participants will learn to iterate over data with loops, use conditional logic to make decisions on the fly, and write reusable code with functions. Join Adam Doan to learn the fundamentals of programming with Python.

To get the most of the workshop, it is recommended that you attend Part 1.

Please bring a laptop with for your own use during the workshop. The laptop will need to have the following software installed:

  • Anaconda – Python 3.7 version
  • PyCharm – Community Edition

Please note: All software installation must be done before the workshop. Please ensure you follow account creation or software installation instructions. Out of courtesy to the class, we will not be able to troubleshoot software set up during the class time. If you have any issues, please contact the IT Help Desk.

If you have questions, please email lib.research@uoguelph.ca
