Provincial Politics 

Dr. Julie Simmons – Federal-provincial relations, public policy

Dr. Julie Simmons focuses on issues of democracy and accountability in federal-provincial relations. She has spoken on the liberal leadership race in Ottawa, the greenbelt scandal and the proposed spa development on the Toronto waterfront. She is a frequent commentator of Ford’s role as a leader among the premiers in the negotiation of federal-provincial agreements. Simmons is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences

Dr. Tamara A. Small – Political communication

Dr. Tamara A. Small studies elections, political communication and digital politics — the impact and use of digital technologies and the internet by Canadian political actors. She is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences

Tariffs and Trade 

Dr. Sylvanus Afesorgbor – International trade, U.S. tariffs

Dr. Sylvanus Kwaku Afesorgbor studies international trade, political economy, economic sanctions and globalization and has spoken recently on the possible effects of U.S. tariffs on international trade. He is a professor in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics at the Ontario Agricultural College

Dr. Mike von Massow – Food economy, grocery prices

Dr. Mike von Massow studies food economics and the performance of food value chains. He speaks frequently on the inflationary costs of groceries, tipping culture and other food economy topics. He is a professor in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics at the Ontario Agricultural College

Dr. Diana Mok – Housing market, homeownership
