University of Guelph vaccine research was featured in a segment on CTV’s W5 news program that examined the global rush to secure vaccines against COVID-19.

Dr. Byram Bridle, a professor in the Department of Pathobiology, was interviewed in the story about the challenges of creating effective and durable vaccines against the coronavirus, as well as the challenges of inoculating billions of people with vaccines that will require two doses.

Bridle is currently leading a team that has received more than $200,000 in provincial rapid research funding to adapt four vaccines already developed in U of G labs against the virus that causes COVID-19. Nearly a dozen U of G researchers are involved, including co-principal investigators Drs. Sarah Wootton and Leo Susta.
