Kevin McCann, a professor in the Department of Integrative Biology, has been named a 2013 fellow of The Ecological Society of America (ESA).

The fellows program recognizes contributions to ecological research and discovery, communication, education and pedagogy, and management and policy. Members are elected for life. McCann was one of 17 people internationally and the only Canadian selected as a 2013 fellow.

A U of G professor since 2003, McCann studies the role biodiversity plays in structuring and governing ecological systems.
