Guelph Grad Student Attends International Livestock Congress


Katie Wood, a U of G PhD student in animal and poultry science, is one of 12 students around the world to receive an International Stockmen’s Educational Foundation Travel Fellowship.

Wood will use the fellowship to attend the 2011 International Livestock Congress in Denver Jan. 11. The event provides students with the opportunity to interact with producers, retailers and others in the industry.

Fellowship winners were selected based on scholastic achievement, leadership and letters of recommendation. The students come from Canada, the United States, Australia, Iran, Mexico and New Zealand.
