Thursday, November 11, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

On November 11, as U of G honours those who have served and continue to serve during times of conflict, we offer you two ways to take part in this year’s Remembrance Day ceremonies.

In-person

10:30 to 11:05 a.m. – Branion Plaza to War Memorial Hall

Students, faculty and staff are invited to take part in an in-person Remembrance Day event that begins in Branion Plaza. The event includes:

  • Remarks from President Charlotte Yates
  • A community procession to War Memorial Hall and gathering in Alumni Plaza
  • Laying of wreaths
  • Last Post and Reveille
  • Moment of silence

Attendees must follow all U of G COVID-19 safety protocols. You must wear a mask while attending this outdoor event and must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption to attend campus. Remember to complete the COVID-19 Daily Screening Form and follow its direction before coming to campus.

Online

Available as of 11 a.m. – Watch online at www.uoguelph.ca/remembrance-day.

If you are working or learning remotely, watch U of G’s online Remembrance Day ceremony. The ceremony will include:

  • Last Post and Reveille
  • Remarks from President Charlotte Yates
  • A performance by the U of G choir

Wherever you are on November 11, we encourage you to observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. and reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served during wars and conflict.
