Renowned agricultural scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan passed on at the age of 98 on September 28, 2023. Fondly known as “MSS”, he was a trailblazer in keeping the focus on women, farmers, the poor and the environment. Tributes continue to pour to mark his contributions to India and to the world.
