Learn a variety of powerful research-based techniques that promote Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR), along with effective, brief self-regulation techniques for coping well through the midst of stressful situations. Practical strategies for thriving under pressure are practiced in and out of each session to develop lifetime skills in decreasing stress and enhancing restoration, immune function, energy, and performance.
This program is especially helpful for those experiencing anxiety, headaches, insomnia, high blood pressure, tight muscles, Raynaud’s Disease, and pain.
Training twice a week for 6 weeks maximizes practice, strong skill development, and continuity to help you keep a more even keel throughout the winter semester.
This 12-session skills program with Kathy Somers of the Stress Management & High Performance Clinic meets online for an hour, twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, for 6 weeks, beginning on January 28 at 7 p.m.
(There are no sessions during Break Week.)
Program Fee :
- $40 for University of Guelph students (due to a subsidy from U of G Student Health Services)
- $97 for members of United Steelworkers Local 4120 (due to a subsidy from Local 4120)
