One of the many challenges of community engaged teaching and learning is ensuring rigour while training students in both applying research methods and the principles of community engaged scholarship. At this event, Dr. Jeji Varghese will outline both qualitative research design and pedagogical strategies tried over the years, mainly in teaching a large 12-week long qualitative methods course where students conduct research addressing community-identified priorities in collaborative research teams.

Speaker: Jeji Varghese, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Guelph

Presented by: Canada India Research Centre for Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) and Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI)
