University of Guelph’s Ontario Agricultural College invites the public for an afternoon with Kim McConnell, a Canadian agricultural entrepreneur, business leader and advocate. Drawing on his experience in agriculture and the ideas explored in his article, “Cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and marketing communications within the agriculture space,” Kim will explore the many connections across agriculture and the broader agri-food sector. The conversation will highlight how different disciplines, departments, research and areas of expertise come together to contribute to the future of agriculture and food.

About Kim McConnell

Kim McConnell is an agricultural entrepreneur, business leader and advocate. He is the founder and former CEO of AdFarm, an agricultural marketing and communications agency that works with organizations across Canada and internationally. Kim has spent much of his career working in agriculture and helping organizations communicate the importance of the industry and its role in the broader agri-food sector. He is also a strong supporter of young people and the next generation of agricultural leaders. Kim has received several honours for his contributions to agriculture and business, including being named a Member of the Order of Canada.
