The prestigious Steacie Prize is named in memory of E.W.R. Steacie, a physical chemist and former President of the National Research Council of Canada, to whom much is owed for the development of science in Canada. The Prize is awarded annually to a young scientist or engineer in Canada.
This year’s recipient, Dr. Asim Biswas’s and OAC’s School of Environmental Sciences will be hosting a campus-wide celebration (lecture and reception) for Dr. Biswas. His research on data-driven sustainable soil management aims to enhance the productivity and resilience of land-based agri-food production systems in an environmentally sustainable manner.
