Dr. Kendra Coulter presents “Continuity and Change in Animal Protection Work and Policy.”

She is leading a SSHRC-funded project on animal cruelty investigations and prevention.

Dr. Coulter holds the Chancellor’s Chair for Research Excellence and is chair of the department of labour studies at Brock University. She is a Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics and a member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. She is the author of Animals, Work, and the Promise of Interspecies Solidarity (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016) and the co-editor of Animal Labour: A New Frontier of Interpecies Justice? (Oxford University Press, 2020).
