Wednesday, March 11, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Carmela Laganse will discuss how many seemingly innocuous everyday objects are entangled in histories of colonization and violence. Touching on the differences between objects in representation and objects in use, the artist will explore how the incorporation of three-dimensional forms in her practice asserts that objects have an agency that impacts our engagement with them.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Talk begins at 7 p.m.

Carmela Laganse: Spread is on view at the Art Gallery of Guelph until April 12, 2020.

This event is free to all and accessible.
