Monday, September 2 is Labour Day – marking the unofficial end of summer and beginning of back-to-school season. The annual holiday weekend also coincides with the completion of the Gryphons At Work Phase 1 launch.

What does this mean?

As Phase 1 launch comes to completion, Gryphons At Work continues to integrate into our day-to-day operations. Access to resources and support will continue to be available at the Gryphons At Work Knowledge Site (GAWKS) where you can find training, news and regular updates.

Complete your training

All university employees (staff and faculty) need to complete training. The series of videos and how to instruction guides will teach you about the features of Gryphons At Work and how to manage your personal profile.

As of August 1, all employees have full access to “My Employee Profile” with the ability to update the following information directly in Gryphons At Work:

  • Update personal information (address, banking information, phone number)
  • Add dependents and emergency contact information
  • Update benefits coverage
  • Check pay statements
  • Initiate long term leaves (ex. parental leaves)
  • Search and apply for career opportunities

Improved career portal for internal applicants

The new career portal within Gryphons At Work has improved the functionality for internal applicants. In our new system, internal applicants are uniquely identified, as long as they apply using the internal career portal.

This new functionality also allows hiring departments to identify and apply a level of consideration for existing university employees with bargaining rights.

All internal candidates must apply to job postings using the internal career portal to be considered as an internal applicant for an open position.
