The University of Guelph community is mourning the death of Dr. Wei Zhang, professor, Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, who passed away on May 21, 2024. 

A service to celebrate Zhang will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville) on Sunday, May 26 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for visitation, with a service to follow in the Glen Oaks Chapel at 11 a.m. Condolences to Zhang’s family may be shared through the funeral home’s website. 

Campus flags will be lowered to half-mast on Monday, May 27 in Zhang’s honour.
