The Office of Diversity and Human Rights is hosting its first ever, Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (IEDI) Resource Fair on Tuesday, October 31, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the UC Courtyard.

This will be an exciting opportunity for our campus community to come out and find out more about the amazing work underway at the U of G when it comes to creating a place where everyone belongs. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to join us and celebrate the wonderful resources, activities and supports available in our community, for IEDI. This will be a great way to find out how you can get involved and how we can work together to make our campus more welcoming.

“There are some fantastic things happening at the U of G when it comes to indigenization, equity, diversity and inclusion. This will be an amazing opportunity for folks to find out more about the amazing projects and initiatives underway on our campus. There will booths, activities and even resources available to help you make our university a more welcoming space,” says Indira Naidoo-Harris, AVP, diversity and human rights. “We are excited to showcase the departments, teams, and student organizations who are making tremendous efforts every day to embed IEDI principles into the fabric of our institution and into our lives.”

The Resource Fair will not only be a showcase of the incredible work underway at the U of G in inclusion, but it will also feature an IEDI pledge that folks can take to learn and prioritize IEDI at U of G and in their daily lives.

“We are asking our community members to sign the IEDI Pledge to encourage each of us to take ownership and commit to respect and inclusion at U of G. It’s a way to inspire our community to get involved, learn, reflect, and grow when it comes to equity, diversity, and inclusion. It will be something we can all be proud of.”

Light refreshments will be provided. If you or your organization has IEDI related supports, initiatives, or committees and would like to participate with an information booth that showcases your work and resources, reach out to Meghan Sinclair msincl03@uoguelph.ca and get involved.
