In an interview with CBC News, Dr. Maya Goldenberg, professor in the College of Arts, offered some thoughts on the anti-vaccine sentiment.

Goldenberg said she doesn’t consider it anti-science, but rather “some mistrust of scientific institutions and the power that scientific institutions wield.”

Goldenberg is a professor in the Department of Philosophy whose research includes exploring the science-values complex to investigate vaccine hesitancy as illustrative of poor public trust in scientific institutions.
