Dr. Adam Sneyd

Dr. Adam Sneyd, professor in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, spoke to i24NEWS in Israel about the expansion of BRICS, an economic bloc that began with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The addition of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Argentina, the UAE and Ethiopia to the bloc is significant for oil and other commodities the BRICS have an interest in exporting and selling around the world, he said.

Sneyd is a professor in the Department of Political Science, where he researches the political economy, development, sub-Saharan Africa, commodities, globalization and power.
