The most recent U of G Board of Governors meeting was held on June 21. Below are key highlights from the meeting.
Budget approved
The budget is one of the University’s key strategy documents and articulates how the institution will allocate resources to support its mission over the coming fiscal years. At its most recent meeting, the Board received approved the 2023-24 budget plan.

Membership changes
Retiring from the Board on Aug. 31 are Jacqueline Kreller-Vanderkooy, Joshua Lannan (BAS ’23), and Prashant Pathak.
Joining the Board of Governors on Sept. 1 are:
- Simran Kalra, an undergraduate student-elected governor from the bachelor of science program
- Medhat Moussa, a Senate-elected faculty governor from the School of Engineering
- Michael Menezes, a Board-appointed external governor and corporate director
The next regular Board of Governors meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Regular board meetings are open to the public. Guests wishing to view the meeting may request to do so by emailing univsec@uoguelph.ca.
