Dr. Sally Hickson

Dr. Sally Hickson, an art history researcher at the College of Arts, spoke to The New York Times about the legacy of recent acts of vandalism perpetrated on artworks by climate activists.

Hickson said the activists’ campaign succeeded in capturing media attention, but worried the protests might eventually affect the degree of access museums and galleries grant the general public.

A professor in the School of Fine Art and Music, Hickson’s areas of research include the history of collections and Renaissance visual and material culture.
