Ontario Agricultural College researcher Dr. Claudia Wagner Riddle provided her thoughts to CTV News on the Canadian federal government’s plan to reduce agricultural greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 30 per cent before 2030.
Wagner Riddle said estimates show it is feasible to cut agricultural GHG emissions without reducing the use of fertilizer, which is a main source of the emissions.
A professor in the School of Environmental Sciences, Wagner Riddle researches the mitigation of GHGs from agricultural production systems.
