The selection committee for the University of Guelph’s tenth Chancellor is seeking input and advice from U of G faculty, students, staff and alumni through an online survey.

As the ceremonial head of the University, the Chancellor fulfills a range of duties, including sitting on both the Board of Governors and the Senate. The Chancellor also presides over convocation ceremonies, confers degrees and plays a vital role as an ambassador for the University and in connecting U of G with the broader community.

All U of G community members are invited to share their perspectives via the survey on the characteristics and attributes that the selection committee should consider as it develops a position profile. Such input is critically important to facilitating a successful search. Feedback may also be submitted via the committee’s confidential email: universityappts@uoguelph.ca

Responses are anonymous. The survey closes January 12, 2022.

More information on the role of the Chancellor and the selection process is available online.
