With WE Charity back in the news for misleading donors about how many schools they built in Kenya, Dr. Ryan Briggs provides insight on how to make impactful donations in a recent op ed published in the Toronto Star.

Co-written with Dario Sidhu, direcor of research at the Penn Development Research Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania, the commentary discusses how to ensure you get the most for your dollar when making a donation to charity this Giving Tuesday.

Briggs is a professor in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences in the Department of Political Science and works with the U of G’s Guelph Institute of Development Studies. One of his current research focuses on understanding where foreign aid projects are placed within recipient countries.
