Dr. Jordi Diez

Dr. Jordi Diez, Department of Political Science, spoke to NBC News about Ipsos’s new LGBT+ Pride 2021 Global Survey. The research surveyed attitudes on various LBGTQ2SIA+ issues in 27 countries worldwide.

Diez noted that support for same sex marriage and LBGTQ2SIA+ rights has existed for some time in Latin America, despite perceptions that the countries remain conservative.

Diez studies Latin American politics, social movements, comparative public policy and the politics of sexual and reproductive rights.
